Captain JASON Burton
As one of operators of Fishzilla Fishing Charters, Capt. Jason Burton is one of the only few Captains in the area that was born and raised in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and has over 25 years experience fishing and navigating the beautiful waters of Murrells Inlet. Jason grew up walking to the local piers and inlets fishing every day from sunup to sundown. At the age of 15, Jason was winning King Mackerel Tournaments and competing against guys three times his age. Jason won his First SKA Tournament in 2008 winning "The Fall Brawl "and following it up in 2010 winning the "King Of the Inlet" King Mackerel Tournament. All of Jason's Accomplishments have gotten him many recognitions such as being featured on the TV shows "Reeling up the Coast with Capt. E", being a regular guest on the Saturday morning CBS Sports Radio Show "The Southern Angler Radio Show" and also landing him in Magazines such as Saltwater Magazine, Coastal Angler Magazine and both South and North Carolina Sportsman. Jason's love of fishing continues to pay off as he consistently catches many trophy fish along our coast. His love teaching others what he has learned by volunteering to do fishing seminar in the community that help raising money for the local high schools in the area and The American Heart Association. Jason's enthusiastic personality out on the water is a true testament to his love of fishing.
